Booking & scheduling

How do I book a session?

The easiest way is the BOOK NOW page on this site. Pick your session type (Headshots, Corporate Headshots, Model Package, Portraits, Beauty Session, Fashion/Editorial, or Digitals) and a time that works for you. If you're not sure which session fits, email me what you're going for and a few example photos you like, and I'll point you in the right direction.

When are you available?

Weekdays work best for me, especially Monday through Wednesday. Most of my sessions happen between about 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Weekends are limited, so if you need a Saturday or Sunday, ask early.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A 50% deposit reserves your date in my schedule and lets me lock in any assistants or team for the shoot. The remaining balance is due before the shoot.

What if my shoot is more than 30 days away?

Booking more than 30 days out? Hold your date with a $50 hold fee today ($100 for Corporate Headshots and packages of $1,000 or more). It's non-refundable and goes toward your session. Your deposit is due 30 days before your shoot, or the date is released.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Life happens, just give me notice. Rescheduling needs to be done at least 72 hours before your shoot. If you cancel, 25% of your session total is nonrefundable.

How do I pay?

When you book online you can pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Personal checks aren't accepted.

Pricing

How much does a shoot cost?

It depends on the session type, how many looks you want, the location, and how much lighting and crew the shoot needs. Current session prices are listed on the booking page. For custom or larger projects, send me examples of the looks you want and how many outfits, and I'll put together a quote.

Do you do commercial or brand work?

Yes, but commercial work (content to market a business or brand) is paid work and is quoted separately from portfolio sessions.

Does my session time include travel?

Your time starts once I've arrived and set up. Locations far outside Los Angeles (around 50 miles or more) may need a travel fee.

Your shoot

Where do you shoot?

I work out of a studio in downtown Los Angeles and also shoot on location: outdoor spots, the beach, and homes or private spaces. If we shoot on location, I'll send a moodboard for that spot ahead of time.

How long does a shoot take?

A natural-light shoot with 3–4 outfits usually runs about 1.5–2 hours. Bigger shoots with more looks or hair and makeup changes can take 4–6 hours.

How many outfits should I bring?

Plan on 3–5 outfits. Three is my minimum for a shoot to really be worth it; two can work, but I don't recommend just one. Feel free to send me photos of your outfits beforehand and bring some extra variety. There's a clothes rack at the studio, so bring hangers. For outdoor shoots I bring a changing tent.

Should I come with my hair and makeup done?

For most sessions, yes, please arrive camera ready. Keep makeup natural rather than dramatic unless we've planned a specific look. For Beauty Sessions a makeup artist is provided. You're also welcome to bring your own hair and makeup team.

What should I bring for a beauty shoot?

A strapless bra and a tube top work best, along with a clean, fresh face unless your makeup is being done on set.

Can I bring someone with me?

Of course. Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan for them. Some studios have a limit on the number of people.

Do you help with posing and creative direction?

Yes. I'll guide you on posing and give recommendations on wardrobe, hair, and makeup. I'll send a moodboard before the shoot so we're on the same page, but you make the final call on your look.

I don't have a car. Can I still book?

Yes. If you're comfortable taking the train, I can usually pick you up from the station and bring you back after the shoot. Ask about it when you book.

Photos, retouching & delivery

How do I choose my photos?

After the shoot I go through the images, make basic color and exposure adjustments, and send you a private online gallery. You pick your favorites and the ones you want retouched. Your package shows how many retouches you get and when they're delivered. Extra retouches are $35.

What does retouching include?

Blemish cleanup and skin smoothing, softening under the eyes, and color and contrast adjustments. I keep it natural and I don't overdo the skin.

Can I get more photos retouched?

Yes. Extra retouches are $35 per image, and I can do a flat rate if you want a lot of them.

How long until I get my photos?

Your package shows your delivery time. You'll usually see your gallery within a few days, and rush delivery is available.

How will I receive my photos?

You'll get your selections in high resolution with no logo, plus a low-resolution version for social media. I send them by email or a download link (like WeTransfer), depending on file size. Download links expire after about 7 days, so save your files right away.

The download won't work on my phone.

The files are large, so download them on a computer if you can. If a link has expired, email me and I'll send a new one.

Do you give out RAW files or every photo from the shoot?

No. I deliver your selected, edited images. RAW files aren't included.

Can I edit or put filters on my photos?

Please don't retouch my images or change their color without checking with me first. If you post them, post the final images I send you, not unedited gallery previews.

Do I need to credit you?

Yes, please credit UniPhotography (and any makeup artist, stylist, or location involved) when you share the photos.

Can I get prints?

Yes, prints can be ordered. Ask me about sizes and quantities.

What if I'm not happy with the photos?

I'll always work with you on your selections and edits. Free reshoots are only offered for technical problems, not for creative differences, since photography is creative by nature.

TFP & collaborations

Do you do TFP (time for prints) shoots?

Yes, I do TFP and creative test shoots with models, makeup artists, and stylists to build everyone's portfolio. These are planned around a concept and moodboard, in the studio or on location. See the TFP page for current opportunities.

What do I get from a TFP shoot?

The standard is 5 selections per look and 1 retouched image per look, delivered in high and low resolution. Everyone on the team is credited.

Can a TFP shoot include a brand or product I'm promoting?

TFP is for portfolio work only. A brand item can appear as a small prop if it fits the shoot theme, but shoots for a brand deal or to market a business are paid work.

I'm new to modeling. Can I still work with you?

Absolutely. I enjoy working with new faces, and I'll guide you through posing on set. A strong set of portfolio images is the best first step before approaching agencies.
