Michael McPherson Jr. is a Los Angeles–born photographer and cinematographer whose creative journey began long before he touched a camera. Raised by a mother who is a 13-time nominated, 4-time Emmy Award–winning hairstylist in film and television, Michael grew up on set—absorbing lighting, composition, collaboration, and the rhythm of production without even realizing it. What began as a childhood surrounded by art, music, and basketball evolved into a career that now blends all three: creativity, discipline, and vision.

Michael’s style is defined by clean imagery, natural light, and high-contrast color theory—a combination shaped by his artistic roots in drawing, painting, graphic design, and his background in cinematography. Whether working with sunlight, shade, studio lighting, or hybrid setups, he approaches each frame with intention.
